Dalston Hall has been a popular wedding venue for centuries. The first recorded wedding at the hall took place in 1556, when Sir George Dalston married Elizabeth Musgrave. Since then, the hall has hosted countless other weddings, including those of royalty and other notable figures.
In the early days, weddings at Dalston Hall were relatively simple affairs. The bride and groom would exchange vows in the Great Hall, followed by a feast in the kitchens. In the 18th century, however, weddings at Dalston Hall became more elaborate. The hall was decorated with flowers and candles, and the bride and groom would wear elaborate gowns and suits.
